Fact #1
Freshwater sawfish are actualy juveniles of the largetooth sawfish. The species births up to 20 pups at the river mouth. The babies swim upstream and live in the floodplains, swamps and channels for thie first five years of life. After five years, they follow the wet season floods downstream to the ocean where there is more space and food.
